Sam Lard, II is the Chief Marketing Officer and Co-Founder of Diverse Workforce Consultants (DWC). Utilizing his extensive sales, program and product marketing experience and legal background, Sam collaborates with employers to employ innovative digital strategies to combat union organizing activity.. He also makes sure that brand integrity is maintained during all mitigation efforts.
Sam helps clients and law firms create and/or maintain work environments that are productive and composed of satisfied, union-free employees.
For over 14 years, Sam has worked with line workers, C-Suiters, and lay leaders to create and maintain communication strategies that promote productive work environments, comprised of satisfied, union free employees. Sam’s prior trade union membership enhances his authenticity and effectiveness with a diverse workforce in large and small organizations in pre- and post-petition union drives. His charismatic, detail oriented leadership instills confidence in others and promotes a communicative environment during vulnerability audits, strike avoidance situations, and trainings.
Sam specializes in regulatory compliance, negotiations strategy, management training, the National Labor Relations Act, the Railway Labor Act, corporate campaigns, effective employee communications, and conveying union avoidance strategies in a digital platform. He trains management on diversity issues and methods to select and retain diverse supervisors and employees.
He introduces younger consultants into the field of labor management consulting and trains them to address the needs of today’s diverse workforce. He also strategizes with them to maximize social media and technological advancements to communicate with and educate employees and management.
Sam holds a Juris Doctorate from the University of San Francisco School of Law. He also maintains an insurance broker license in 22 states. His attention to detail, familiarity with statutes and regulatory compliance, coupled with his website design and digital marketing experience allows Sam to marry traditional union avoidance techniques with innovative, cutting edge digital strategies.
On a lighter note Sam spends most of his free time with his family, either creating culinary masterpieces or taking family rides on their bikes.
